Sweat Society HC (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information under Canada’s PIPEDA and Alberta’s PIPA.

What We Collect

  • Contact details (name, email, phone).
  • Intake information (goals, injuries/surgeries, current limitations, availability, preferred frequency).
  • Booking data (appointment times via Calendly or similar).
  • Payment data (processed by Stripe; we don’t store full card details).
  • Site usage (cookies, analytics—e.g., Google Analytics; advertising pixels where applicable).
  • Communications (emails, messages, forms).

How We Use Information

  • Provide coaching and customer support.
  • Schedule sessions and send confirmations/reminders.
  • Process payments and issue receipts.
  • Improve services, site performance, and safety.
  • Send service updates; with consent, occasional news or offers (you can opt out anytime).

Legal Basis / Consent

We rely on your consent (e.g., intake form), performance of a contract (your plan), and our legitimate interests (security, service improvement). You can withdraw consent where we rely on it by contacting us.

Sharing & Service Providers

We share information with vendors who help run our business, including:

  • Stripe (payments), Calendly (booking), Google (Analytics/Workspace), Meta (ads pixel if used), WP Mail SMTP (email delivery), website hosting and security tools.

These providers may process data on servers outside Canada. We take reasonable steps to protect your information and only work with reputable providers.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary to provide services and meet legal/administrative requirements. We then securely delete or anonymize it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards (technical and organizational). No method is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique email password and be cautious with shared devices.

Your Rights

  • Access or correct your personal information.
  • Withdraw consent where applicable (may affect our ability to provide services).
  • Ask questions or file a complaint with us, or with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, and (if enabled) advertising measurement. You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Google provides an opt-out for Analytics; Meta provides ad preferences tools.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. If we learn we’ve collected personal information from a minor without appropriate consent, we’ll delete it.

We may update this Policy. The “Effective” date shows the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
